Methyl silicone oil was formed at high temperatures above 200, resulting in crosslinking, viscosity increasing, and final gelling.

Dimethyl silicone oil has a series of products, mainly divided by viscosity, its use temperature is between - 40 and 200. If you want to tolerate the high temperature of silicone oil above 200, only phenyl methyl silicone oil can be selected, and the use temperature range is - 57 to 232. If you have to use dimethyl silicone oil to withstand high temperatures above 200, use it in vacuum or in an inert gas atmosphere. Otherwise, oxidation reaction will occur.
